Mice prevail heavily in this story, mostly for the reason of one of the chief characters. Tinnaj Shadowwalker goes by many names, but "Mouse" is most commonly used to describe him.
The least of the gods, yet he is integral to the story of The Mousepaw Chronicles. Sometimes he'll appear to his followers as a man, sometimes as a mouse, but always he appears when someone need guidance, including Renna Mousepaw. Patron god of thieves, he's attracted to the source of trouble, even if it's a young girl learning the ropes of being a thief and especially if that young girl's fate is tied to her homeland.
